Plot Summary:The Amazon is the last great unknown region on Earth, but what lies beneath the surface is yet to be discovered. Join scientists and film-makers on a pioneering journey through this dangerous and beautiful world. Amazingly, scientists have only just discovered that the Amazon and its tributaries have astonishing abyssal depths, 300-foot deep plunge pools from long vanished Ice-Age waterfalls. This wilderness is inhabited by some of Earths strangest creatures bizarre electric fish, weird catfish, stingrays and primitive pink dolphins. In search for these real-life aliens our expedition team venture into a world where no human has been before to document new life. This is the first diving expedition to the Amazon watershed. Here the waters are prowled by vicious fish, crocodiles and huge snakes. This is hard core adventure complete with dangerous currents, ferocious lightning storms and waters strewn with submerged trees. The diving gets darker, deeper and more dangerous.
